- Current Practice in Europe and Australia, A descriptive Study: This report presents the results of the international portion of the MCP² project, carried out by the International Confederation of Midwives, designed to describe in detail the collaborative models of maternity care as documented in five selected European countries (The Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden, and France) and Australia. This project investigated the functioning of these models in practice and the success of these models as expressed by the degree of satisfaction by the professionals involved and if information is available, reports of customer satisfaction.

- Literature Review: This is the first phase of a three-phase approach to build guidelines for developing Multidisciplinary Collaborative Primary Maternity Care Models (MCPMCM). This review is based on a systematic literature search and review process that synthesised material relevant to the development and functioning of multidisciplinary collaborative primary maternity care models. In the upcoming months, the author will further delineate potential models that may be applied in a Canadian context.

Collaboration Among Professionals
- The Health Care Providers and Other Stakeholders Survey Report was a telephone-based survey of health care professional about their current knowledge, and acceptance of collaborative care. This report concludes that there is a significant lack of information among health care professionals, both those currently practicing within a collaborative maternity model and those not practicing within a collaborative maternity model. This same lack of awareness was also found in other stakeholders.

Awareness Program
- Canadian Mothers Speak out: Baseline Consumer Focus Group Report is the report of a consumer focus group survey asking women their perceptions and opinions of the potential benefits of a collaborative approach to their care. The most obvious conclusion from this consumer focus group survey is that regional variations play a significant role in a mother's maternity care experience from availability of health care professionals, to their recent experiences, and to their responses to a communication tool. The communication tool, a brochure developed to explain the varied roles of primary maternity care providers, was well-received overall. Feedback received about this type of communication tool will be used to develop a similar consumer education tool describing the benefits of collaborative care and potential collaborative models.
